The XA Lab seminar was successfully held on APR 22.
During the seminar, Master’s student Elizaveta Shevchuk and Ph.D. student Siwoo Park presented the research topics they will pursue this semester.
Name : Elizaveta Shevchuk
Title : Cognitive Complexity in early Design Stages : a Linkography-based study in design studio
Summary : According to research results, the use of AI for site analysis was found to reduce students' personal and emotional perceptions of space, leading them to rely instead on more technical and analytical indicators of the site.
Name : Siwoo Park
Title : The Rebirth of Abandoned Spaces
Summary : I discovered an unused space that was formerly a bus stop but has since lost its function, leaving only its form. Based on actual measurement data of the site, I intend to analyze the surrounding environment and location conditions to propose an optimal space utilization program that meets the practical needs of the local community.
It was a meaningful occasion for students to share their plans, exchange ideas, and receive constructive feedback. Their upcoming research is highly anticipated, and we look forward to seeing its development throughout the semester.
The seminar took place in the PT Room on the 4th floor of Building 22, and the next paper seminar is scheduled to be held onMAY 06.
