Seminar 24

The XA Lab seminar was successfully held on MAR 11.

During the seminar, Master’s student Hyun Min Choi and Ph.D. student Siwoo Park presented the research topics they will pursue this semester.

Today, Undergraduate Researcher Seojin Kim have a special lecture on the concept of in-between space.

Undergraduate Researcher Seojin Kim

Name : Hyunmin Choi

Title : A Study on the Boundary Conditions and Urban Connectivity of Rooftop Spaces in High-Density Cities.

Summation : This study quantifies and typologizes rooftop spaces in high-density urban cores by datafying their internal configurations and spatial relationships (e.g., distance and rooftop-level height differences), and derives the connectivity conditions under which an upper-layer network (as an in-between space) can emerge to mediate between the city and rooftops.

Name : Siwoo Park

Title : Validating the Effectiveness of Data-Driven Street Environment Improvement Projects

Summation : Analysis of the differences in administrative districts between Exits 11 and 10 of Gangnam Station under identical conditions using the YOLO algorithm.

It was a meaningful occasion for students to share their plans, exchange ideas, and receive constructive feedback. Their upcoming research is highly anticipated, and we look forward to seeing its development throughout the semester.

The seminar took place in the PT Room on the 4th floor of Building 22, and the next paper seminar is scheduled to be held on MAR 18.
