During the seminar, Master’s student Chae Min Im and Master’s student Fang Ruiying presented the research topics they will pursue this semester.

Title: How Does Natural Light Shape Spatial Experience Through Its Interaction with Materials and Spatial Configuration in Exhibition Spaces?
Summary: For my current research topic exploration, I focus on exhibition spaces as a research context, with particular attention to the role of natural light in shaping spatial experience. Based on the study “Evaluating Spatial Attributes of Surface Colors Under Daylight and Electrical Lighting in Sustainable Architecture,” this research explores how natural light interacts with material surfaces and spatial composition to influence the perception of exhibition environments. By examining relationships among daylight conditions, material characteristics, spatial configuration, and perceived spatial qualities, I aim to identify how architectural elements mediate the effects of natural light and develop an analytical framework for understanding its relationship with spatial experience.

Title : Distribution characteristics of old houses Analysis of Space Types Based
Summary: This page uses QGIS to study the distribution patterns of vacant houses, vacancy density, road and alley widths, plot sizes, and distances between buildings, and presents the resulting patterns in diagrams. We also provided the rationale for the analysis specifications.
It was a meaningful occasion for students to share their plans, exchange ideas, and receive constructive feedback. Their upcoming research is highly anticipated, and we look forward to seeing its development throughout the semester.
The seminar took place in the PT Room on the 4th floor of Building 22, and the next paper seminar is scheduled to be held on OCT 02.
